2005-2009 Mustang Coupe

The The redesigned 2005-2009 Mustangs are some of the most popular ever. They're more sleek and unique than their 90’s ancestors, with a touch of retro styling in respect for the original Pony car. With its all-new structure and suspension the latest generation of Mustang coupes has clearly been a success. The new models have a more responsive, precise handling to grip the road and the strongest brakes ever fitted to a regular production Mustang. The increased driver control not only perpetuates the Mustangs sporty persona, but also creates a safer vehicle to handle in an emergency. Side air bags add to the safety factor. Interior changes to the newer Mustangs are one-touch up/down power windows, power mirrors, keyless entry and power locks, a heated rear window and interval wipers.

Several new options and colors were available to the newest generation of Mustang including an optional 5 speed automatic transmission. The Pony Package was offered in 2006 which included fog lamps, rear spoiler, 17" wheels, ABS brakes and traction control. Interior styling was very reminicent of the 1967-1968 Mustang cockpit. Two large round bezels housed the spedometer, tachometer and other essential guagues. The "eye brow" style dash could have come directly out of a 1967 interior along with the circular air vents across the dash. Seats were certainly all modern technology and comfort, but subtle design elements like the horizontal pleated inserts recall the style of the late 60's Mustangs.
